i've never been
but that track could fit in my backyard

Are you a fan of Stock Car Racing at all? Have you ever been to a race event at any other track that hosts stock car racing? You must have a pretty huge backyard if a 1/3 mile banked speedway can fit inside of it... :hail2: lol.
But seriously, some of the most intense, close quarters racing that your ever likely to see goes on @ Seekonk Speedway every Saturday night and has for almost 55 years. Many current Nascar stars got their starts at Seekonk Speedway and tracks just like it all across the country. If you consider yourself to be a race fan at all and have some mechanical ability or, you'd like to learn, get involved with one of the local race teams @ Seekonk Speedway. Most if not all would welcome the extra "hands" and this will truly give you a different appreciation for..... "what exactly goes on at seekonk thats worth watching?" I'll absolutely guarantee it!
Enjoy!

Bump for Seekonk Speedway. I've been on the edge of my seat at least 99% of the time when they have the Spectator Drags, Enduros, Formula 4s, its just an awesome, FAMILY orientated event too. My gf's cousin came in 2nd place in the enduros with that green with flames crx. we should all roll up there the next time they have that big event which is on July 4th, park in the back a whole line of stangs nice photo shoot and meet and greet oppurtunity. --Kenny :flag:

I've been to Seekonk speedway many times. And I just have to say the place is a #$%&HOLE. The racing is really good. But one would think after 55 years of being there. They would clean the place up. The last time I was there my wife cut her stomach on a chain link fence that was falling down and dilapitated when we walked by. I'll never go there again untill they clean the place up. All of the old time tracks are like this. This is what use to give racing a bad name. Even New England Dragway has been cleaning up its facilities. It took The SUPER Chevy Shows to clean up that place.
