when instaling the VT stage 1 cams. i wont need to change the springs as i been told. anyways my question is , after instal i will need a tune for the stage 1 cams. Can i do that with the predator or the SCH Xcalibrator 2 ???
thank you

don't risk it. go get a tune from a shop you trust. i thought i was fine when i installed mine, but when cobra killer put it on the dyno it was at 18:1 a/f  it's a dang good thing i didn't get on my car until i had it tuned after the install, or i would have been screwed

The Xcalibrator2 has lots of options within it. You should be able to get your fuel pressure and timing adjusted as long as you know what you're doing. Sure, you can do more on a dyno, but as you said, you're no where near a dyno. Contact Jim and Scott at VTEngines. I'm sure they can supply you with lots of insightful info. when it comes to tuning your motor to match the VT Stage I cams.
