I've figured out there will always be someone faster. I started this car because a coworker of mine had a camaro and constantly bumped his gums about his car. My thinking: "I know how to make a fox go fast, I've done it before. I'll do it again. I'll show him."

Well, I never caught up to him. Last time I looked he had a 454 lsx in that car with a 108mm turbo on it. Big ol' parachute out back. Yep. I'm staying on the porch. LOL.

Amen bro,,,, I have two buddies with fox converts... one has a v2 on a 331 making 600rwhp and he other a kennebell powered 427 with a 200 shot of nitrous,, he dynoed at 940rwhp.. and here I am with my litte 425rwhp... lol .. Well I don't have 15k to throw at a motor.. and if I did I;d probably go coyote with a V3 not pushrod.

If you guys have figured me out by now you know I like to be different. How many fox 5.0 cars have a remote mount blower fed by a 60mm turbo? ........

Yeah,......swallow that pill now,.....because the next one will be even harder to choke down.

I got out of drag racing because fast was never "fast enough". You go years, and tens of thousands of dollars telling yourself:
"I'll be happy with a ___ oh. When I get the car to go ____ oh,....that'll be fast enough."
Then you get it there, and you start trying to eek out the next "fifty" " I'll be REALLY happy w/ a __ fifty".

I think the break point for me occurred at EZ street level (Like X275 now). As I sat in the parking lot at the track w/ a -20 fire suit hanging around my waist on a 95 degree day, with a yet again blown up 363, I took inventory of how much money I had poured into something that wasn't even remotely fun.
Tryin to be a big dog,.....with Chi-wah-wah money. 35k in the car, a dedicated truck to haul, a little 20' enclosed trailer and all the junk that was required to race,......probably 75k just waiting on the next weekend. So I could melt another TFS R head, and spend more money....NO says the MF'n finger

I'll take the slow trip to Sonic every time now.

Me and the Monster will sit watch you "racers". We'll offer our help with rides to and back to Autozone. (or to help you arrange transportation now that your junk is blown up too). We'll drive the 600 miles to the Texas smackdown,...and then we'll drive back.
Maybe I'll stop off at Sonic on the way back.

the idea is not for crazy power.... just a solid instant boost curve that does not fall off as the car climbs tward redline.
10psi that is all....... my stock parts bottom end can handle [save the pistons I'm surprised these hyperutectic slugs handle the 9psi i give em now]

I like the idea and I'm just asking, but wouldn't the m90 be a restriction at this point?

I thought that at first also, but we are talking compound boost. The air entering the m90 is already compressed, so it keep on a squishing it in there.

After a few minutes of Googling I found enough mathematics to make my brain hurt. Seems there's a multiplicative effect. 5psi turns to 25 yada yada yada. Then it dove off into recirculating air and pressure at idle, too much for a Saturday morning.

Yeah, there's a termi over here with the stock blower and twins on it. Makes 39 psi. Not many people can touch him on the highway. He beats up the lambos in Houston.

I despise new edge cars, but I'd be willing to make room for a termi.....nah, fock it. S550 is just as much car for a few dollars more

Goes kinda like this......

-My cid. 306
-My boost at turbo spool point (2500rpm) 9psi
So first calculate my "boost cid" 14.7/9=1.633. 306x1.633=500cid
500cid is what is coming out the tail pipes.... so we size the turbo accordingly.

After the turbo is installed we use the compound multiplier to well .......compound the boost.

So turbo feeds the SC 10psi....
10x1.633=16.3 psi.....
This would leave my parts all over the ground. So the waste gate is set from the boost level at the manifold. We get a steady 10psi.......
The turbo is feeding air to the SC so even though it is undersized at this power level it effectively has no inlet restrictions, making its efficiency skyrocket. Now we are only limited by the turbo.

That's immediately after stepping on the gas pedal w/ a wheezer feeding a huffer.

Jackstands would be right after that only,...sadly there'd be nothing left to support.

Yep.... that's what we all said...

Bought the car stock 4 years ago
I'd be happy with an HCI making 300RWHp - did it
Id'e be Happy with a V3 making 450 rwhp - did it

So....... now when my stock block goes......... and my AOD......and my 28 spline axles

I can spend another $20k on a Coyote swap, new trans, and 33 spline axles and tru trac... and 5 lug swap... and smooth the inner fenders...and battle boxes... and a MM K member....and......... get the picture?

It's never over .. ask Scott, Jeff, or MadMike.... you can EASY drop $30-50k in one of these cars without blinking an eye
