I just did it. It does fit. You have to pull the grommet out of the firewall, slip the grommet over the cable and then install it all back through the firewall. Its a pain but it does work.

You just cut a hole in the rubber plug thats plugging the new hole for the speedo cable and discard the one that came from the new clutch cable location.

for some reason i dont understand..look...the AOD original hole for the speedo cable is way bigger than the hole it must go threw....and i cant slip that grommet from the new hole over the speedo cable housing with that white clip. im guessing im gonna use the grommet from the original AOD speedo cable on the clutch cable, right??

Your going to throw away the grommet that came out of the new clutch cable location. The grommet that is in the new speedo cable location you're going to use. You'll cut a hole in that grommet but your gonna work your butt off to stretch that grommet over the big end of the speedo cable. Or you can remove whole cable so you can slip the grommet over the smaller end that hooks to the transmission. I personally just worked my butt of and used some silicone spray because I drove the car a while still with the AOD after I installed the new pedals

I ended up cutting a hole in the center, then cutting a slit from the outer circumference to the hole.

Then I just spread it open and wrapped it around the cable instead of trying to strech it around the big end.

When I pushed it back into the fierwall I just put the slit on the bottom side so you don't see it.
