I got a free remote door lock module and keyfob from school for a project, and just happened to take an uneeded extra one. I think its from a newer explorer, not positive though. What I need is to find a wiring diagram for my car (94 gt) so I can attempt to make up some harness that will work with this unit. I have power windows and locks, but not remote, and want to put this in my car as my lock tumblers are worn and stubborn. anyone know where I can find this, or no anyone whos tried something similar?

I have never tried what you are attempting, but here are the wires and wire colors for the 94-95 stangs. Might help you a little. I usually only do aftermarket into cars. Not factory to factory. Hope this helps you on the stang side.

12 volts - yellow + steering column
Starter - white/pink + steering column
Ignition - tan/white + steering column
Accessory - gray/yellow + steering column
Second Accessory - black/green + steering column
Power Lock pink/yellow - either kick harness to rear -see notes
Power Unlock pink/green - either kick harness to rear -see notes
Parking Lights+ brown below drivers kick
Door Trigger blk/blue or gray + below drivers kick
Trunk/Hatch Pin black/pink + at trunk sw. or light
Trunk/Hatch Release purple/yellow + below drivers kick
Tachometer gry/orn or dk. grn AC EDIS module
Brake Wire red/lt.green + brake switch
Horn Trigger yellow - right of st. column

NOTES:Non-keyless versions are 5-wire and the keyless versions are negative pulse. The lock wires can also be found behind the glove box.

FWIW, I have read that if you pull up on the outer door handle, if the interior light comes on, that suggests that you already have factory keyless. It might help (my car came with no fob, but actually had factory keyless as far as I can tell). Knowing that might simplify the install (or cause you to find a correct key fob, if yours is not).
Most factory keyless boxes have an FCC number stamped on them (so you know you found the right thing).

Good luck.

yeh my light comes on when I pull up on the handle, so if thats true, it should make things alot easier, I know the units are similar, but im assuming the harnesses done match, If its just a matter of getting a new keyfob thatll be alot better

btw I assume that if theres a remote unit its behind the pass. kick panel right?

I remember someone else talking about the factory one. I don't have one, so I couldn't tell ya'. But it seems it was in one of 3 places: pass. kick panel; behind glove box; or in the trunk. Can't remember where ?they? said they found it..... I'd do a search on it.

Aight, it should be in the trunk behind the driver's side taillight.... behind all the carpeting. If the "light" trick worked, you have the module.
