I am thinking of adding a combo alarm and remote start system, but the one I really like says for automatics only.....is there a way to retro fit to make it work? thanks......

yes there is a way to make it work, but as a professional installer, i will not tell you how. most places will not tell you either. i had a friend who had a remote start on his 5 speed car, and he gave someone from work his keys to get lunch, they remote started his car, and it ran into a rodeo about 5 times before it finally killed. caused alot of damage, and i would not suggest it.

yeah, they have to bypass it so the car can start with the clutch not pressed in.

therefore you will always have to park in neutral with the e-brake on.

most "professional" places will not install it. and those that do install it, the warranty will be void

the one i have seen for manuals let the car run for like 5seconds after the ignition key is pulled out....so you will be sure to keep it in N w/ebrake when parked..
