to remove the motor its just the tranny bolts to the motor and the motor mounts rigth ? also can the headers go on before the new motor goes in the car

i totally gutted the engine bay of wiring harness, hoses ,ac compressor, ac hoses
i also removed coolant filler, power steering filler and compressor,
complete removed the intake,fuel rails

i think the only thing i need off the old motor is that metal gasket that goes between the engine and flywheel and a little plug off the heads on the driver side

here is the new motor this picture is a little old i replaced the stock cam gears with adj. cam gears and the timing cover and valve cover is on but its still in the kitchen

I dont see anything else holding it unless the exhaust is still hooked up. As long as you use stock or shorty headers they can. But if your using long tubes, you'll have to put the motor back in unless your pulling the tranny too. I have heard that if you pull the motor with the tranny, and put it back in, you can do it with LT. But if the tranny did not come out, then they go on after the motors back . I also pulled my fan and radiater when I pulled my motor, just to be safe. Good luck.

thxs for the info man after work tomorrow i will remove the radiator then
since i installed the mmr k-member saturday should not be to hard for me to get to the headers and remove them i also did not bolt the motor mounts back on so just the tranny bolts are left

the more i do this stuff the harder it is for me to believe when some guy at a shop says yea it will be like 1000000 bucks for parts and labor ........all i can say for the ones that have no clue is rape

i was in firestone one day getting my tires rotated when some lady comes in to have a windshield wiper blade put on guy wanted to charge here 38 bucks... i was like wtf ?

I know this is way off topic, but I just have to say this. I would be murdered by now by my wife if I brought a car motor into the kitchen.

Dont let me even mention the fact about the day she almost left me because I started my 1hp R/C motor in the basement after I rebuilt it.

also I am so jealous, I wish I was skilled enough to do what your doing. I agree with the post above me to.... you learn to do something and you cant believe how you get raped with mechanic costs to do simple jobs.

when every i do a project i do all my research first like look for write-up's on the net go to forums , i have the shop manuals and as many pictures as i can find i even take pictures before i get started so i dont end-up with a hand full of screws and bolts after the install is complete hehe got to love when that happens

the worst thing is founding out you need a tool that you dont have in the middle of the install  guess thats the best thing about having more then one car
