Remove corrosion on Bullitt wheels??

I drive an '01 GT and over the years my Bullitt wheels have become corroded behind the spokes. Is there a practical way to remove this corrosion without damaging the wheels? Is there a way to remove it without machining and repainting the wheels? Thanks for your input.

Ever is a wheel that had its rotor shaved off on the wheel making it completely orange? My sis's probe did that. Since is basicaly a beater, i used some oven cleaner and it came off very quickly. It didn't seem to affect the clear coat on the wheel but if left on ther long im sure it would. My skin was feeling bery slimey in seconds.

There's proably some good wheel cleaner in one of the shelves at your local auto store.
