Hi, I finally finished replacing the cowl vents on my 66, while the windshield is still out I am considering removing the old dashpad braket and going with the rolled steel dash underneath. The car has no collectable value (Plain Jane coupe). Has anyone done this or have pictures? The steel dash looks real clean and I intend to create a integral dash console appearance either way.
Thanks,
Fred

A friend of mine did it in a Pro Street years ago, though I have no pics. But the Mustang dash was developed from the Falcon dash, the only real difference was the glove box.

Dan Gurney test-drove a prototype 289HP Mustang convertible which oddly had the Falcon dash.
