Removing AC

Just wanted to see if anybody had any tips on removing the AC. I have the FMS relocation bracket and I'm only pulling what's under the hood not anything behind the firewall. I know all the basics just looking for easier routes. Is there some things that aren't worth removing and is there anything that will cause problems if removed (like wires or whatever)? I have underdrive pullies on the water pump and crank, does anybody know the approximate belt size to run?

It all can be removed along with the wiring with no issues at all, if you leaving the underdash stuff there put some rubber caps on the tubes coming out the firewall to keep debris/bugs out of it

best way is to measure for the new belt, depending on what brand pullies you have it could be different then another. You want the tensioner to be in the middle of the range when tight I use an old serpentine belt I cut to measure with, I find it to be very accurate when I wrap it around the pullies.

im just going to buy the kit from 50resto comes with the relocation kit, and u/d pulleys as well as a shorter belt to bypass the smog pump as well

That's pretty much what I thought....Thanks Rick. Any problems bypassing the smog pump like that? I know I seen and heard it done usually on drag runs but that doesn't pop any codes? I thought about removing my smog pump but all of the laws changing daily I don't want to chance it.

The belt you want is a 747k6, you can buy'em at Autozone. You can probably also use a 745k6 and possibly a 740k6, but i never tested that one and it may be too short. Those belts are with stock pullies BTW..
