I think after 6 months of you being on Stangnet, we will have a COMPLETE disassembly instructions for our cars just from your threads!

If you post a thread on how to remove your shift knob I will come over to your place, remove it, then throw it at you.

All this free of charge!!!

Man, Dustin you're really going all out for Fri. huh? If you're in the 15's or something (not that I can talk) it'll be pretty freakin' funny. :D How much weigh would you estimate you've lost so far?

Your back seat looks alot cleaner then mine! My insulation and coverings were all tore up when I removed my rear seat, they weren't glued down right. I guess the assembler had a bad day when he made my car.

If I run a 15 I will kill myslef. My best so far has been a 14.6. I ran worst with the inatke on. That's was without my cobra intake. It took me like 20 mins take everything out if that. Since I don't have that much done I need to make up for it somehow. I hate losing. If some ricer beats me by like .1 and I had everything in my car. I wouls be pissed bc I know I could have taken it how and maybe have won.

Just a bit of info for the vert guys... our back seats don't weigh anywhere near what the coupes do. A rear seat delete in our cars is only worth about 15lbs TOTAL. Snoozer was right about the coupes though.... its around 35lbs.

If you want to save even more weight, take out the carpet, the sound insulators, the center console, the glove box, and the interior trim panels. The carpet alone is 30+ pounds, the sound insulators altogether weigh at least as much. The console is another 15+ pounds with all the hardware in there.

Did you take your radio/speakers/amps out yet?

The biggest weight saver you could probably do is take out your A/C, although here in the Southwest, that's not really an option.

Oh yeah, race naked. That's 5-10 pounds of clothing, dadgumit.

I was already planning on racing naked. I guess that was just a given. As for the CD player and stuff I cant really that any of that out. This is my DD. I can only take stuff out that is easy to put back in.

Dustin, I wouldn't count out your car running a 15 tomorrow night...My cobra could only muster a 15.0 last weekend and I'm a pretty good driver (Hoping it was the weather). You are an auto though so maybe you'll hook decent. Good Luck. BTW..there was a 99+ GT running 15.8's last week. There was also a turbo fox that spun em through every gear dude to the traction issues @ fireslick.

here is a pic of where the rear seat release latches are, they are the white things on th front edge of where the seat would be:

take a screwdriver and push in on the front of it and the pin will be released.
