Im in a bit of a dilemma, Im removing my heater box right now and the only thing holding me up are the control cables on the box. There is some kind of stop holding the cables onto the arms that they connect to on the heater box. This piece looks somewhat like a cowboy hat, ive tried prying it and it didnt seem to budge. I am wondering whether or not I have to uncoil the cable completely from where it is connected to the box.

I feel like this is a vague description so I apologise. Basically Im trying to figure out how to remove the heater control cables from the box itself on a 66, thanks.
