Hey guys, I want to take my back bumper off to get painted. I'm not exactly sure how to do it. Is it riveted like the front bumper? I only see two screws on each side behind the rear tire and a bunch of push pin connectors behind the gas tank. Anyone have any tips?

I posted the same thing over at the Corral but I didn't get a repsonse yet.

No rivets on the rear bumper. Remove the plastic push thingies under the bumper and the 2 screws on each side of the rear fender well. You need to remove the trunk liner to get to the nuts on the inside of the trunk. Don't forget to disconect the drain hose on the passenger side & the push thingy on both sides also on the bottom behing the rear tires. That should do it.

Are the screws just under the trunk mat or are they behind the plastic trunk interior panels? Thanks for helping me out man.

they are behind the plastic lining/plastic interior panels. you have to remove about 4 push pin thingys to get under the lining. then about another 6 or 8 bolts underneath. i think its 2 on either side of the trunk, and 4 on the back part of the trunk. (its been a while) really easy tho, it took me about 30 min to get it all off. just dont drop a bolt after unscrewing it. i remember thinking it would be hard to find
