Removing Rocker Panel Striping?

Hey, my girl has a 2001 Laser Red V6 and is going with the "RED & BLACK" theme but has those damn ugly "mustang" rocker panel stripes in white. I wanna remove them for her this Saturday but need some tips on how. Have any of you done this and if so how and what will i need? Thanks guys and gals

use a heat gun(hair dryer) to soften the vinyl and just peel it off

Try this its for a Mach 1 but it should work on your V6.
