I just picked up a 93 coupe, radio is already out of it but the factory amp is still there under the pass seat, when i go to put an aftermarket cd player in there do I just yank the amp or will i need to get a harness that keeps the amp in use somehow? Thanks for any input guys

not sure i understand what to do. I have the harness from my 87, it has two large square plugs where it plugs into the cars harness but with the 93 there's only one of them and then the small one for the amp, can i use this harness and if so how do i wire em together or do i need to get a harness for a car with the amp? Thanks again

One of my cars previous owners used the one plug-in piece. For the other half of the harness, they cut one of the plugs off at the amp, and wired the head unit speaker wires to it, then it just plugged into the stock harness. Now, after re-reading what I have just typed, I am confused, so if you want, I'll make a diagram for you tomorrow, and maybe take some pics if it'll help you out.

OR, you can get a harness with all the necessary stuff to just plug in without all the cutting and what not.
