Removing tie rods and ball joint from spindle

swivel?

what about using a big breaker bar

i heard that you can buy the 03/04 cobra front lover A arms for a decent price and they come with the ball joints already installed. they also give you more turning radius

HOW THE **** DO YOU GET THE REAR FACING BOLT OUT OF THE CONTROL ARM?

My impact don't fit between the damn half ass frame rail thing and the bolt and i can't do it by hand
I am with Urban - use a breaker bar with a cheater bar on top of it. He and I differ - I would not use a swivel on a bolt like that with impact. Just me.

Once the LCA bolt is broken loose, you will need to hold the other side with a wrench too. Those bolts are torqued to like 150 ft-lbs.

Good luck.

have been trying with my bro in laws breaker bar ratchet and its not working i was pretty much jumping on the damn thing and nothing was happeningmaybe i'll go steal his other bar and try that its really pissing me off. Have a few other things on my mind right now and that thing giving me issues i wanna take a BFH to my car i'm that pissed

If you hit the local hardware store, grab a piece of pipe that has an I.D. a little bigger than your breaker's O.D.. You can slip the cheater pipe over the breaker. PB'ing the tar out of the fasteners helps too.

You might be fighting threadlock (for instance, I threadlocked [red] my fasteners back on there). Heat normally works in threadlock but you dont want heat near your bushings.

A 3-5' cheater should help a lot though.

Good luck.

i got his real breaker bar but don't have any pipe around the house that fits so i'll have to go to the depot tomorrow and get some. I was out there to ger a air swivle but ours depot sucks and all they had was nornmal ones lol it took a beating for a while then the pin fell out.

I'm not worried about the bushings cause i'm replacing them with poly ones they weren't worth a **** anyway i snaped the one when i pushed down on the arm
