Okay, I just installed a tubular K member and I started thinking. Everyone says that you have to remove/loosen the passenger side header when taking out the transmission with longtubes. Why can't you just remove the drivers side header??? There is much more room to get to the header bolts and it would be 10x easier to get that side off. I don't understand why everyone says the passenger side is the one that needs to come off when the drivers side is obviously easier especially with a tubular k.

Also, even with a tubular k member, it doesn't look like you can get to the last top two header bolts on the passenger side. How do you get these off? Tilt the engine way up on that side and get it from the top?

If you remove the d/s header, your never going to get the input shaft lined up correctly. The pass header has to come off ot allow for this to happen. Its just too tight with it in there. Jack the motor up and install the top bolts/nuts. That is if your k is already in the car.
