Repainted my Cobra II *56K WARNING PICS*

I spent the last month repainting my '76 Cobra II. I stripped it down, did what bodywork I could, repaired what was doable and painted to the best of my ability. I finished her up today, just in need of a good bath tomorrow. I thought you guys might enjoy some pics of the build.

Heres how she started. Don't let the pictures fool you. The paint was baked and would come off on your hand. There were rust holes in the hatch and in the door.

seams, trim holes, spoiler molded in and old door guard holes filled and smoothed







Paint it black!




Now what to do about that front end?




Buckets blacked out and grill added




Blacked the tailight trim out and the 1/4 louvers






Spoiler broke, so I fiberglassed it and smoothed it





Sidestripes added





Foglights wired/installed, new boot for Ebrake






Mmmm center stripes






Rear bumper painted and attached

Its not perfect. If you ask me, its really more of a 10 foot car, but I love it. This is the first time I REALLY buckled down and did the work I needed to do. I'm also proud to say I did it by myself, save for a few days where a friend helped me with fiberglass, and when I needed more than one set of hands (installing the rear bumper)

Its not eeeveryones up of tea, but I built it exactly how I want it. well, mostly. Still waiting on a Weiand someday

Alot of people have taken issue with the bumper. I think it gives it a nicec post-apocalyptic look. I watched alot of Mad Max during the build Oh and it is from a truck. a mid-90s Honda Passport

As for the hole and scoop, I do have a spare hood that i am going to cut and do better later on. For now, this hood is good enough. As for being off center, the whole freakin motor is off center Such is life when you have a V8 II tho :-\

I do want the blacked out wheels AND the zoomies. I'm looking into getting those down the road, along with some rear louvers

The brush guard is a interesting idea that I'll have to think about some more. The truck
I got the grill guard from originally had them, but they were busted by the time the owner let me have the grill guard. ill hunt around on ebay, and see if theres anything i like. but i'm pretty content as it is.

The factory one? yeah sure

I plan on putting any factory parts I'm not using on ebay in a few weeks time. I've even got a set of side scoops around here...
