Well, I took the 96 to Southeastern Dragway for a headsup class race this past weekend! On the 3rd pass I stepped up the tune a little, stage, left at 6800 and felt the whole back end shake! Damage: Twisted all the drivers side lugnuts, spun the slick off the rim, twisted the axle housing tube on the drivers side 45 degrees aft, broke a shock, and broke the trans mount!. I spent all day today making repairs and replacing parts. I replaced the housing, replaced all the bearings, all the nuts and bolts in the rear suspension, the trans mount, and the rear shocks. As hard as it went out my 60 ft time would have been around a 1:40. The car is now retired from drag racing. I have the Cobra for that now.

The motor is far from stock internally. Billit crank, rods, customs pistons, FAST DFI, etc... The motor is built to handle anything I want to throw at it. The shortblock is good to just over 1000 rwhp if I changed the top end of the motor and changed the blower.

Yeah, I live in North Coweta, off HWY 29. I parked two cars over from you last weekend at the show, just before you moved to the other spot. I'll be there next month as long as I don't have to work that weekend.

By the way, I'm good friends with Lee Davenport, so I've heard a lot about you.
