i went to a junk yard and got a new drivers door window, but i have to distroy the mustang door in the junk yard almost to get it out. is there a easy way to get the window out and in. i took off the 2 screws that hold the pole that the window slids upand down on but how do i get the window out of the door?

once the window is loose tilt the front of it down, you can angle it and it should slide up out of the door, shouldnt be too hard of a problem!

i know it shouldnt be hard but theres the metal bracket that is rivited to the window even after i take the pole out and the metal has a screw sticking about a 1/2 in off it so it wont just come out.

Take a thick philips screwdriver, a hammer, a few wrenches, and a sharp prybar or chisel. Cut all the rivots off of the window motor and the regulator. Use the philips to punch out the pinn and then chisel the aluminum rivit off. remove the track bolts. Lift the window assembly until the rivots come to the top of the door. past the belt strip. Do the same on the two rivots connecting the window to the regulator. I have done this before in like ten minutes at a junk yard for some dummies who thought they should buy the whole door instead of ripping it apart. I guess they were going to take it back to the crib and use the torch. DUH. So its easy if you knock out all the rivots. PM me if you need more info.

To get the back part out, the bolt or slide. The window has to go to the very back of the door and turn the window towards the inside of the car. Believe me, it comes out. Getting it in....... Thats different.
