Hi guy, i have a 96 gt and im looking to replace my rear abs sensors. I know how to do it but im short a tool.. the torque wrench.. my question is would i be able to get away without using the torque wrench to tighten the sensor to the axle? Or is it a must that i use the torque wrench? Also if its a must that i use it what sze torque wrench do i need? Please any help would be great! Thanks guys

Is the head of the bolt or screw stripped or is it broke off? If it is the head stripped, try using a pair of vise grips to lock onto it to twist it out. If that does not work, then you can get on the cheap a set of easy outs at your local auto store.

The screw should not be that awefully tight. So a pair of vise grips should be ok.

What i do is take a grinder or cutoff tool to reshape the head, then get some vise grips on that thing

Once you can get it out you can go to the hardware store and match up the threads and length and get a standard bolt with a small lock washer and you should be ok.
