I’m replacing my cats with an off road x pipe. My question is what type of tuner do I need to keep my CEL off when I remove my o2 sensors? Thanks

General karthief

wonder how much it would cost to ship you a pair

An off road X pipe will have the bungs for the 02 sensors. You need the 02 sensors.

What year is your car? If you're talking about the O2 sensors after the catalytic converters, vehicles before 1996 didn't have those. And they are only there to monitor catalyst efficiency.

Install your O2's into the offroad H-pipe. The CEL only comes on in post-1996 Mustangs. Do not delete the O2's

Just to add to the discussion. I replaced my thirty old O2s and my car runs much better, My acceleration is smooth. Before that it was breaking up.
