Replacing Master Cylinder and Brake Booster, need some guidance!

To change them, disconnect the brake lines from the master cylinder.

Then, inside the car, under the dash, remove the clip that keeps the pushrod on the brake pedal. Then remove the four nuts on the booster mounting studs, at the fire wall. Then from under the hood, pull the booster forward and remove.

It would be easier, perhaps to remove the master cylinder from the booster, the two nuts, etc, first. I think they have to come off anyway to remove a bracket.

Removing the booster can be a pain, as the top nuts are hard to get to.

With patience, it will work.

The brake lines can be cut off several inches back, and a short section installed with a flare coupling, or just take the lines out of the combination valve and replace the whole thing. If you take them out, it is easier to reflare the end. Been there, done this.
