My driveway is on a slope and i noticed that if i park with the nose of the car facing uphill, a few drops of trans fluid find their way to the ground by morning.

So anyway i want to replace the seal. Where is the best place to get one for the 3650?

I think i found the gasket on Autozone's website. It's Timkin brand, part number 710426 for $12. Is this the correct seal?

On NAPA's site, it comes back as NOS 16474 for $11

Also, while i am there (will have car on a lift) i want to change the fluid. SHould i go with Mobil 1 ATF synthetic or Royal Purple? Also, what is the latest fill quantity? I never had the TSB done and my clunk isn't that bad.

I changed my tranny fluid from some kind of ATF (dont know not the one who changed it) to royal purple synchromax and I didnt notice the difference at all. So I would go with whatever is cheaper.

BTW i like mobile 1s products but I think royal purple can jack the price because of the name.

Well if there is no difference, i think i'll go with mobil 1 synthetic.

How much should i fill it up with? To the fill plug or is the new stanbdard 1" below it?

jack the car up so the tranny sits as even as possible then fill it until it starts to come out on its own then put the plug back in but I used like 3.5 quarts in mine my haynes has the number it says 6.6 pts for a t45 but i dont know if you have that.

here is a link that i also used that shows the capacities for the fluids.

just put in the info of your car.

I have a 3650, and according to that site it's 7.6 pints which is 3.8 quarts. Sounds about right as that's the number i remember reading.

So would i be fine with a parts store seal? I think i'm going to go with the Timkin brand seal from Autozone.

easiest way i found to fill it was remove the top fill plug on the trans. remove the shifter and just pour it into the shifter hole untill it starts comin out of the fill plug

i tried using a little pump thingy and got fustrated after getting fluid all over myself
