I was told that my tilt on my 89 lx is broken because the it wont lock.... im going to order a used steering column off of ebay... how replace the old one out and slip the new one in?
1. under thehood.. unbolt the steering knuckle, pull it apart.
2. inside the car.... take all the covers off the steering column, unplug the plugs, I believe there is 4, but not sure..
3. two bolts that hold the column up to the dash.
4. On the floor there is a rubber cover with several bolts,
5. That is the majority of the bolts, there may be a few small things to unhook, just be careful unplugging the wires at the steering column, they were very brittle on my 89!
