Hello,

I am writing to request help in identifying the proper ARP roller rocker stud kit for a GT-40 M-6049-y303 aluminum heads.

I know these heads are made for pedestal mount roller rockers, but I plan to find a machine shop to drill and tap for roller rocker studs.

The plan is to install Comp Cam 1.60 roller rockers (part# cca-1331-16).

Since there are so many ARP kits to choose from, I called ARP. They were unable to help with out measurement, therefore, I thought I would write this forum to see if someone has already done the homework for the right ARP roller rocker studs to use for the GT-40 heads.

Can you help?

Thanks in advance!

One last bump - hoping someone has done this and can share the part numbers for the studs used.

Comp Cams makes a conversion stud with 5/16 on the bottom, and 3/8 on top. Sounds a bit hoky, But I have a set waiting to be put on along with the 1.6 roller tip rockers.

I used the Comp Cams retro fit studs on my last set of heads for 8 years, and I have had a set on the GT40 irons in my Capri since 00, and they work fine.

You can look them up on Comps web site.
