I've been driving the 93 notch now for 5 days. I had forgotten how much attention the fox bodies draw. I just decided to take a lunch and check on my 01 GT at the park and sell lot.

So I'm leaving and sitting at a redlight, going another direction is 2 younger guys in a Dodge Dakota hauling a trailor with 2 4wheelers, revving their motor at me and looking over. I'm like wtf? So the dude shakes his head and drives off. Ok.

I'm on the on ramp for the interstate about 5 minutes later and I hear what sounded like a lawn mower revving up, and on an adjacent on ramp going another way is a kid in a white Evolution (written in big red letters on the deck) with "MR" sumthin written on the back deck revving at me and getting on it. I didn't even hear a turbo charger at all so I figure it's a wannabe

Saturday I'm driving down the highway at night and some Dodge Ram tries to race me.

Am I an idiot magnet? I don't remember ignorant cars revving up at me when I drove my 86 for 5 years everyday. Nobody ever revs at my 01 GT. WTF?

I don't get revved at in my 91... everyone just pulls out in front of me or cuts me off Guess cause it's stock (and looks it) people think I'm going 20 MPH under the speed limit??

I notice it nearly ever time I take her out.

If it's the truck guys reving they most likely don't want to race, but just want to hear the exhaust. So, I'll communicate back most of the time.

We have several rice cars (Ricers) out here, and a majority will try and roll race me or fly by me cutting off traffic trying to show off. :Track:

One time I was behind a school bus full of 6th graders and they all came running to the back of the bus to see my '91.

I was driving down the highway at 65 mph and a guy in a Ranger with Mustang wheels comes up next to me, he rolls down the window and points at my car and then puts up four fingers. At first I thought my tire was peeling apart or something, I couldnt hear him through the wind turbulence then I realized that he wanted to buy my car for $4000 at 65mph!

I hate when I'm driving and need to switch lanes I'll have my blinker on but the jackass wont let me in, but I just rev the exhaust and its like the parting of the Red Sea.

I've been considering selling it and getting a New Edge, but they dont command this kind of respect and not to mention giving up the hatch space.

I used to go to the mall parking garage and just rev every few seconds to see how many car alarms I could set off

One thing I noticed that tends to "pick" races is exhaust.

I used to get people trying to race me in my '98 (when the mufflers were off - not by choice) all the time.

When I put on the mufflers (100% stock) no one ever wants to race.

Fine by me...

You know my 01 has stock exhaust and no one has hardly ever tried to race me. Maybe try to cut me off from a red light and turn in front of me, but not race.

I think ur on to something

Another fun game is when someone is walking past your car (Sidewalk cross, cross walk, in a parking lot, ect) is to rev it and watch them jump and hurry up to pass.

The best is when they're on cell phone's. I seriously have only used my horn maybe 3 times since I bought the car

hahaha yeah i love doing this! one of my jobs is at a mall, so when i get off and am trying to leave, i get a lot of asshats that are coming into the mall walk in front of me at an extremely slow pace, most of the time i'm sure they're doing it on purpose too. i always forget i have a horn and i rev at them. usually gets them moving a bit faster. lol.

My car is loud enough to set off car alarms and has a pretty lopey idle, but still no one ever tries to race me.

Is this an original Cluster that would work in my 1987 Convertible 2.3L? Turn signals work, but not correctly.
