I never get any street action in my stang but my 04 lightning gets alot of people wanting to try. usually just ignore but if the time and place is right I will break their heart..... rock on

Two year back when I had a sc-trim on the car, nobdy would bother me. I could see ricers rolling up on me in traffic, But once they finally met up with me at a light and the car dropped to idle and that damn vortec started whinning as loud as it was they suddenly left me alone. That damn supercharger was too loud.
Now once I get the turbo finished I will just need to let the blow off valve release then they will leave me alone.

So it's not just me. That's nice to know. Of all damn things I attract they have to be dodge trucks. Pfft.

People do seem to bee drawn to the Foxbody cars, around here you only see them in the summer. I get alot of thumbs ups, revs, "nice 5.0", or "light 'em up".
I don't mind, but I usually tell them of they want to see a smoke show they can buy me new tires...

nope I got's a ram with the SRT bumper and hood. They came with the truck and half the world thinks I have a Viper engine in it. It only has a hemi, but it will out run my mustang until it hits about 115 when the governor cuts out.

I havnt seen a silver lightning, but there is a red one that some punk from Winn Dixie drives. He's tried to run me several times. He'll pull up to me at a red light and start revving his engine at me. he the same thing to to anyone else that will happen to be around too. One time I saw him at Sonic and he was eating his food with the engine running and I guess like every 10 minutes he would forget what his truck sounded like and he would do a few REALLY loud rev's. Or maybe that was the cue for the hottie in the roller skates to bring him a re-fill for his slushie. I couldnt quite tell.

Pardon the Dodge truck comments then!

Yea my buddy's should be still around there somewhere. He's about to move back here. If you ever see a Canteen Green colored Titan with a push bar in front and KC's give him a yell

I had a rusted out mid 80s pathfinder try and race me once... but mostly it's ricers who are out looking for something to prove. The fox gets alot of negative attention from certain groups(ricers, retards, etc.) but also gets alot of positive attention from others like hobbyists.

I have only had someone rev at me ONCE in three years, and it was a woman in an 86' fox. Nobody else even seems to notice up here! Maybe its the $10,000 fine and 7-day vehicle impound for street racing :s

I usually get those from the 40's and up. I've had a few people ask if I wanted to sell.

I take A LOT of bad with the car, but those little good things complete make up for it. Now if there was a lot more cute mustang fan girls, it would be a perfect world.

Same here Strype. I drive my Cobra that runs 12's and capable of 11's....nobody wants any. I drive my notch which would be lucky to run low 14's...and I get everybody pointing, staring, following me down the cruise spot, and trying to race me. They think because I have no tail pipes that it is a 10 second car. I always watch my back and make sure nobody follows me home.

I find it amazing how many folks really like to look at a nice Fox as it rolls past. Only the dumb kids mess with you.

Yep...they are very sought after especially around here. It's funny too. I never see them unless it's on a cruising strip/boulevard. I have not even seen one on the road since August or September.

Exactly, my 93 has only run a 9.0 in the 1/8 but lo and behold every kid and redneck from North Alabama wants a piece.

That doesn't seem too slow actually. I just looked at slips from my Cobra. I ran 8.18 in my 12.53 pass....and I ran 8.5 in my 12.7 pass....(two different tracks though, they measure the E/T before/after you cross.

Do you have a 1/4 mile time Strype?? I don't think my notch could do that!

No 1/4 mile time and I wasn't driving when it went the 9.0 but I was there. All it had done was RAM air, a bypassed smog, exhaust and street strip radials

ill advised

In my '90 I rarely get people trying to race me. I get the feeling people thinks it's alot faster than it actually is. lol In my '92 on the other hand, I can't go anywhere without being picked at. I've also had several offers for my '92 (whether they were serious or not I can't say).

The revving, the attempt to get the attention of the alpha dog, I think that is the respect. Your newer cars might just beat the chit out of your 5.0, but the rep is there with people with even the slightest bit of interest. The rep is the respect, they wouldn't do it if they weren't thinking your 5.0 could/would defend itself. Yeah, the stupid teen punk bitches will try the most, like in any bar fight, they need their arses kicked severely a couple times to learn anything! It's good to be the king.

Is this an original Cluster that would work in my 1987 Convertible 2.3L? Turn signals work, but not correctly.
