a few days ago i posted how i was gonna run my friend at the track, englishtown, nj. so here are the results...my mods are in my sig, his 350z is bone stock and is a 6spd.

first run:

second run: he spins badly, gets off it and runs full out to end

so, not bad for my gt, although i only got one good shot at him, i think it was a good run, at least the 3rd run was. it was 68 degrees, 93 % humidity, and its was at sea level. i spun my tires every run and i think with dr's i might have run a little better. we'll see next time. not bad for a vert, i weighed my car and it was 3704 with me in it w/ 1/8 tank of gas..well, thats all thanks for reading...

Right On! Thanks for posting the results. It's too bad your friend couldn't drive a little better. It sounds like it would have been some close racing. At least your third run he was a little more competition for you. Get some DR's and you will be laughing. Have fun.

Actually I like the 350z. I think it's a cool little car from what I've seen and heard. I've never actually been in one, so I don't know from first hand experience.

The margin is closer than you think. If he can hook up, it seems as if he would walk you in the end. But, your 4.10's and drag radials seemed to be the deciding factor.

yes, i agree..i believe he would away from me, but in the end, i won, and since i work with him, i'll make him suffer just a little.. . oh, and i too thought 94 mph was on the low side, but i figure with an auto, and a weight with driver of 3704, it didnt seem too far fetched. i know 99-04 should be around 97-99..we'll see what i get next time. oh, i also ran on street tires, goodyear f1's..no drag radials..maybe next time

Well, even regular 315 tires will give you an edge over your typical street tire. Glad you won, though. I still think the tires and gears were the deciding factor. Besides the fact that he couldn't really hook up.

Also you might wanna remind him how much he spent on the car and how much he is going to spend on repairs. That's my main thing. Nothing beats hp per dollar on Mustang.

your sig doesnt say anything about having a Programmer or a tune, I thought if you had an automatic you had to get the gears changed? Something with the car hitting redline and staying there

i had my speedo calibrated when i had the gears installed. it was part of the price of gears. they flash the computer when they installed the gears. other than that, i've had no computer or chip work, car is stock as far as that goes.

Just a question though, with all your mod's shouldn't you be alittle quicker than that? I see some people with just exhaust mods running mid 14's. There are alot of differences though I guess (weather, track, driver, etc)

3704 huh? I've always wondered what auto verts weighed. I know mine is a pig due to stereo, light bar, chrome wheels, etc...but lOVE her! How much do you weigh if you don't mind my askin?

Well as some of you may remember, I finally beat my good friends 350Z on the last Drag day of the year a few weeks ago. The season ended with my all time best of 13.823 compared to his 13.824. Well it's torn him apart and put quite a strain on our friendship. He insists his car is faster because he traps 2 mph faster than me. I could care less. There is a local web page we are on where people post they're dragtimes and they position your car pics along with the times in sequence. Well to keep his car on top, he posts 13.82 and doesn't put the last digit so he can remain on top of me on this site. Now we're not talking about a teenager here . Moral of the story is, save a friendship, let them 350Z's win. -----------On the second thought, BURN HIS *SS .

Hey AngrMgt I was looking for some 315/35/17 are the eagle F1's nice. Also how come you only ran 14.7 I have an auto also with exhaust MAF, Intake plentum, TB, superchip and is also lowered with wider tires and run 14.2 const. Just a question but also how do you like your 4.10's and how is it on gas mileage. Burn that 350z's #ss High priced ricer's.
