Retiming DIS Motor?

How do I retime my 93 LX ...I was doing head work and it got out of whack...My haynes manual says That the distributor rotor should be pointing to something..but I dont even know where that is...and I was told that this motor doesnt even have a distributor. please help..

The only timing on the DIS motor that can get screwed up is the cam timing...which is just a matter of lining up the cam timing pointer to the mark on the cam pulley while the #1 cylinder is on the compression stroke.

(Look up cam timing in your manual)

I hope you're not referring to your response over on AFM. You were close, but still wrong. I should be happy though, at least you didn't tell him to clean his IAC, and adjust his TPS this time

What makes you think it's not the cam timing? How do you know the ignition timing is "out of wack" as you say?

no it was actually fuel lines came un done which would explain the strong smell of gas and the puddle of it underneath the car...the coupling wont stay on .
