Reupholster 98 GT seats

Hey...couple of quick questions for the experts...

1) Are the Driver and passenger seats interchangeable...meaning can I take the drivers seat out to get it reupholstered, and move the passenger seat to the driver's side?

2) Are there differences in the seat foam buns between a 98 GT and a 99 GT? One of the upholstery shops said that the fabric was glued to the seat foam buns in 98, while FORD stopped gluing the upholstery to the seats in 99 and beyond. He also indicated that the foam buns were pretty much non-existent for a pre-99 'stang seat.

Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

the seats aren't really interchangeable from side to side; the latch and seat belt guide attachments will be on the wrong side among other things.

I'm pretty sure the 98 and earlier are glued on, but I am not certain about that.

...also you can get Cobra/Bullitt/Mach foams and covers that will fit standard GT frames

Interchangeable? Sure. I wouldn't recommend it. As you have holes in your seats relative to being driver/passenger.

Yes they are different.

Who said foams for a pre 99 were non-existent? Lol
