Rev Limiter?

I've driven the car pretty hard and have never hit the rev limiter. Last night when I left the meet at Hooters I stopped and left a little rubber by the patio, then turned the corner in the lot and floored it in 1st gear. Tach hit about 4,500 and it hit a wall and stalled, felt just like hitting a limiter. Started right up and drove home with no problems, but cruising around tonight it happened again both in 1st and second at about 4,500 RPM. Stock tune, only mods are exhaust and intake. I got an ses light, but it was for air/fuel metering. The car runs perfect otherwise, Suggestions?
 
Post the DTC code. There have to be a dozen codes dealing with AF mixture.

Go to an autopart store and have them read the codes.

It is part of the failure management of the PCM to limit output under certain failure situations. Seams reasonable to me to reduce output instead of blowing up.
 
Vacuum leak

Start first by looking for a vacuum leak.

P1130 - Lack of HO2S-11 Switch, Fuel Trim at Limit

The HEGO Sensor is monitored for switching. The test fails when the HO2S fails to switch due to circuit or fuel at or exceeding a calibrated limit.

Electrical:
Short to VPWR in harness or HO2S
Water in harness connector
Open/Shorted HO2S circuit
Corrosion or poor mating terminals and wiring
Damaged HO2S
Damaged PCM
Fuel System:
Excessive fuel pressure
Leaking/contaminated fuel injectors
Leaking fuel pressure regulator
Low fuel pressure or running out of fuel
Vapor recovery system
Induction System:
Air leaks after the MAF
Vacuum Leaks
PCV system
Improperly seated engine oil dipstick
EGR System:
Leaking gasket
Stuck EGR valve
Leaking diaphragm or EVR
Base Engine:
Oil overfill
Cam timing
Cylinder compression
Exhaust leaks before or near the HO2S(s)

A fuel control HO2S PID switching across 0.45 volt from 0.2 to 0.9 volt indicates a normal switching HO2S.
