checked out your car, very very nice. Have you had it to a drag strip yet????

How does it run with 4 10s and a auto? Seems like a lot of gearing, but then again it is a 5 speed....

Again, great looking car and great choice in mods.

sounds like a good mod, but i had nothing but bad luck when installed underdrive pulleys on my last car. slowed down the accessories noticeably, when I drove the car at night with the lights on when the car wasn't moving the lights would dim substantially and if you revved it they would brighten, plus I had to replace the alternator after about 1000 miles after the pulley install. so needless to say I'm a little reluctant to do this mod to the new car.
I like the idea of gaining power but not at the price of sacrificing other aspects of the car.

4.10 was the way to go wit the old 4spd auto try to 4.30's or 4.56's:drool:

This ain't your father's Mustang. The '05 has a 5 speed auto with a much taller 1st gear, 3.23, vs 2.84 on the old stang auto.

3.23 x 4.10 = 13.24

2.84 x 4.56 = 12.95

Off the line 4.10s in the '05 GTwill be faster than 4.66s in an '04 GT, with the extra 40 HP and 20 lb ft the '05 has.

Unless all you're doing is running the 1/4, you don't need anything taller than 4.10's in an '05 auto and even then I'd advise against 4.56s as you will run the risk of doing a 4-5 shift near the line.

Agreed, that's something to be concerned with (especially for those of us with the Shaker 1000). 2005RedGT posted on another forum that it's had no detrimental effect on the electrical system thus far (and he also has the 1000), so keeping fingers crossed. I'd like to get these pulleys, provided there's no sacrifice...

I have been on 2 night drives for over 1 hour. During which I started off in stop light to stop light driving, loud system radi down, all lights on - no drop in light quality or sound quality. I then dove on the more highway lihgt roads in the city wiht no issues either. I have yet to see any 'low' power issues.
