ok when im driving once the car is fairly warm, when i shift ill let off the gas push in the clutch and after my foot is OFF the gas the revs jump UP100-200 rpm... i dont understand how having the throttleplate closed can allow for a jump from 5400-2600 or 2700 rpm... also when this happens it takes a while for the revs to come down... ive read about teh copper cap mod and is this the BS that ford has programmed into their computer? also can a decent tune get rid of this crap, i.e. i took it to amazon and had him tune it?

Its the IAC...Do the restrictor mod and that should fix it.

Im getting tired of this EEC computer...the other night my idle was surging around. Then later its fine...sometimes it seems to miss...then sometimes it runs great. Ill be going with a stand alone setup when I get a new motor in the car...that way I wont have to deal with its issues lol. + ill get a knock sensor with the stand alone so no more stinking AIT and pulling timing due to temperature either.

actually you might be able to use the ebay 20hp chip thing to fix that as it just sets the temp to soemthing like 32* but i bet that would add a BUNCH of timing.

Ha lol, I have a carbed motor....and although its great, starts very easy...gas milage wont be as good, nor would driveability. And its alot harder to dial in the tune. . But thats ok, I can live with it.
