Thinking of ordering a Ron Francis wiring kit. They are actually on sale right now for $350 for everything. ANyone ever seen or know someone using his kit. Their customer service seems to be outstanding and it looks good quality. Seems to be a favorite of the Street Roders. He has a classic mustang kit and says it is a simple install. Thoughts/suggestions?

Thanks.

Nope the Painless mustang harness is like $650 and up. Is the RF kit model specific or is a universal kit?

It looks like it is set up for various applications. These are the options from the web site:

*V8 or 6 Cylinder Ford Engines
*One-Wire or Ford Alternators
*Stock, Later Ford and Aftermarket Columns
*Accepts Ford Electronic Fuel Injection
*Dura Spark, Electronic and Points Distributor
*Includes Firewall Connector Cover
*Column or Dash Ignition
*New Headlight Switch Included

If you have an externally regulated alternator we recommend ordering the External Regulator Wiring (Order Wire Works Part # VR-99) and the Voltage Regulator (Order Wire Works Part # VR-88).

You may be needing to call their customer support if you have limited knowledge of the electrical system in your car. I replaced all the wiring in my '65 starting with a new 12 circuit fuse box with 6 relays. If you choose to do this, get a schematic and document everything how the old harness was wired.

Sounds like a good deal compared the others.
