RH turn signal won't flash

This has happened before, but it was always a loose connection at the bulb before. I could fool around with the wire for a minute or two and it would start flashing again. That doesn't work now, so I don't know what to do. Should I replace the bulb? Is there an easy way to tell what's wrong without replacing things? I know it could be the flasher itself too, but I don't know where to find that. I'm sure you guys can have me straightened out in no time.

if your flasher is bad, neither signal light will work. Just look at the bulb, you should be able to see the filament. Its either making contact, or the filament is separated meaning its burned out.

Remove the bulb and see if the connector springs up,
the grommet inside swells and does not allow the connection to be made completley.

Just fo y'alls info :If you install a HD flasher, if one bulb burns out the other will still flash.

I never claimed to be able to handle anything involving wires.

So where is this flasher, just so I know? And if my socket is bad, are they pretty easy to come by?

The flasher is located under the dash and is about the size of a 35mm film container. Often they are found near the steering column but PO's have been known to move them. There are actually TWO flashers; one for the directionals and one for the four-ways. Try swapping the flashers. I'd check the ground of the socket and verify that you have a functional bulb before replacing anything. Chances are by cleaning the socket and making sure that it is well-grounded will get the lights working again.

Well, I can't tell you where the flasher is supposed to be, but I can tell you where mine is. Not far from the fuse box, mine is tucked up behind the vent. Little silver round thing about the size of a 20oz plastic coke bottle cap. If its the socket that is the parking light housing itself, yeah, I think you can get a kit with all new stuff for both sides for $50.

Ah, the socket is probably just dirty. Set your car to on, put on the blinker, pull out the bulb, wet your finger in your mouth and stick it in the socket and swirl it around a bit, that'll fix it.

Actually, it may fix you instead, hell it may even grow some hair.
