Ribbed WP pulley

How long can I run a ribbed water pump pulley before I start eating serpintine belts?? This is on a '93 lx 5.0 with reverse rotation pump (stock). The backside of the belt will be riding on the ribs vs. the smooth surface of a stocker (that I don't have).

I know I need to get the correct smooth/non-ribbed one but if I can make this last until summer (maybe 5-7k miles?) until I can buy a matching set of underdrives...

go to the bone yard and get one or buy a 93 cobra pulley because its an overdrive pulley for more water flow at lower engine speeds...

I've seen ribbed pullies tear up an belt in a few miles.

it's gonna cost you more in belts than it would to just fix it the correct way, right now.

Get the right pulley now. Stock pullies are easy to come by
