Looking for info on "springs settleing". We had a set 4.5 leaf springs from Mustangs Plus which put the 66 with a nice ride height in the rear. the springs were about 7 years old. During this rebuild, we replaced the springs as one of the clamps was broken. the replacement was supposed to be identical and was a replacement from Mustangs plus. When they were finally installed we are riding about 3 inches higher. We are running Bilsteens for shocks and I know they have a tendency to raise the rear about .25" to .5". From my personal experience and the alignment shop we're working with, I would not expect the springs to "settle" 3 inches. What are your experiences??

maybe you pre-loaded the suspension by tightening all of the bolts before the car was back on the ground?
