The spacers may push 17x9's too far out. You'll have to test fit them really. It also depends on what brand wheel you purchase

So do the different style rims make a difference? For example if I were to run a 17x9 '03 Cobra rim or even a Bullit rim?

The Giant Snout on those Lincoln Rotors wont allow Bullitts or 03 Cobras, you will need to swap to SN95.
