I'm an idiot when it comes to wheels tires so gimme all the info you got. I'm thinking about getting some 15X8 Draglites with some 275/50R15 G-Fore drag radials for the back of my mustang. I'll probably only use em at strip but I don't don't wanna get slicks purely for the sake of retaining my street car credibilty. Would that be enough tire to get me to hook pretty good? I will eventually get some skinneys for the front but untill then will it be safe to cruise to the strip (Roughly a 100miles both ways) with the 15s in back and stock 17s in front? Also will I need ANYTHING else besides the wheels and tires (i.e wheel studs, D/S saftey loop etc)? And finally what size skinneys should I get for the front, rim and tire?

you'llbe fine driving back and forth to the track the only thing i notice is when you go over bumps in a corner on the hiway the back end moves back and forth a little more than normal when your going strait you'd never know they were on there.

bringing back a way old thread but I could still use more info on this. And I'd also like to know if anyone drives every day (summer months at least) with their 15" big-n-little set ups.

That'd be a perfect combo - careful with that rear end at the track with those sticky tires . . . 4k plus holeshots will equal snapped axles.

Using D/Rs on the street is FUN, but be warned that they won't last too long.
