thanks alot guys for your help on my last thread. i was wondering what the general concenses was for style? im looking at the original ralley style rims that came available with the mustang, some cragar S/S rims and i was wondering what some other good choices might be.

There's always the obligatory Torque Thrust

They look very good, as evidenced by the number of Mustangs with them.
The 5 spoke Cobra wheels look nice for an updated look. The Shelby 10 spokes are a very classy wheel (IMO).
I picked out about 6 sets of wheels I liked, then photo-chopped them onto my car, so I could get an idea of how it would really look.
Took a bit of work to find good side shots that would match up. At that point I printed out 8x10's of each wheel set on my car, taped them to the garage door and day by day whittled it down to the set I bought.

Good luck. Picking wheels is tough!

thank you, nice car by the way. i would like to know if any of these styles are available in a 4 bolt design. i am currently looking at a 66 with a 6 cyl. 3 spd. that will soon have a 289 and 4 spd. put into it. and most of these rims are 5 bolt while the 66 6 cyl. had 4 bolt hubs is there any cheap way to do what i want?

Any wheel for a Fox body is 4 lug

Like the Cobra R's you can get for Fox body cars. So you actually have an excellent selection to chose from. The only down side *may* be backspacing. You'll have to check with the vendor for sure.

If you are going to put a V8 in it anyway, I would go ahead and switch to 5 lug now, or you will be buying wheels twice. You'll have to switch to 5 lug with the engins swap, the I6 components won't hold up to the weight/power. I'd go with Degins setup he has on special this month to get started. That will get you the granada spindle and 5 lug rotors. Sorry, nothing about doing it right is cheap.

Also, on the 4 lug fox body rims on classics, watch the bolt spacing as well. It's been 20 years, but I seem to recall that the bolt spacing was just enough different that they wouldn't work. But I may be wrong.

The Hopster,
I didn't like the looks of that Rim on the American Racing wesite.....but they definitely look good on your car. Great choice.

I have the Boyd's Smoothie II's. They have a deep lip and look soooo tough.
