IS THERE A WAY TO FIND OUT FOR SURE IF ITS THE HEAD GASKETS WITHOUT COMPRESSION TEST......

first off the Caps Lock key is all the way on the left side of your keyboard, 3rd up from the bottom.

Why do you think you have a blown gasket? Tell us what the car is doing and we might be able to save you from a lot of work if any at all.

ok i removed my "crack pipe" from the key board....now im blown out...jk haha..
ok the car has two small puddles (thumb print size) on top of the water pump. Than on the lower left of the water pump there is a trail of coolant residue..(leads me to believe the water pump took a ****). The car drives fine..there is no coolant in my oil or vice versa. Every couple of days tho the temp gauge will shoot up to the L on normal than slowly creep to HOT. Than keep driving it for a few minutes and the temp goes down. Than i go to a gas station and the radiator cap will no even be hot....ill add more coolant..and the temp stays cool. Please help me out..before i honostly smoke some crack a lack. :bang: :bang:

Since you have all that stuff on you car why not spend $29 and buy a compression tester. Do a compression test which takes minutes so you can feel better about the situtation. Seems like a cooling issue to me rather then a blown head gasket. Again compression test is what you need to do first.

If you have a Chilton's manual it will go into detail about this test. I bought my compression gauge at Summit Racing. It's a good idea to get the one that threads into the spark plug that way you don't need two people.

Disconnect the coil wire off the coil.
You take a spark plug out.
Screw in the compression line.
Plug in the compression gauge.
Crank car over for a few seconds with the throttle wide open.
Done. Write the number down for each cylinder.

TIP-Make sure battery is in good condition. I usually leave my battery charger hooked up the entire time. It will drain your battery after 8 cylinders (at least it did mine the first time).

you can get one at sears, theyre in the auto specialty section, theyre like 30 bucks, i work in the sears tool department and people buy em all the time, my friend just used one and it only took like 30 mins because we didnt know how to use it at first
