Lol! All I can say is If I need to make it, I will. Welding, fiberglass, carbon fiber, clay, 3d printing. I’ll figure it out and get it done.

True enough. The majority of my fab time was on aircraft. You kinda gotta do it [their] way to the extent that you can. It's been fun to watch you do your own thing.

As if you don't have a large enough number of proficiencies already, I could see you having a ball in the 3D Modelling and Printing World.

Hell, now you can scan a thing with any half-decent camera phone.

I'll stop there before derailing happens

I've repaired tons of old interiors but never remade pieces. All you dudes that just crank it out like it's matter-a-fact... I made a volcano once for science class

He hears a lot from me about 3D printing he might stay away from it.

I just keep finding more things I need to do. Now that the carbon fiber cowl is done and in place. The mirror bases not matching are bugging me. So lets get some carbon fiber ones done.

Why do I always see dynomat (and/or the like) installed in patches? How much more dampening do you get from wall-to-wall deadener?

You need all you can get on a mini tubbed car with sheetmetal trunk floors and tubs. It makes a huge difference on roofs but the rest is more window dressing

Headliner board is done and ready for leather material. More cabon fiber (door sills) and just like paint, I love burying it in clear.

Working on a carbon fiber glove box. Thought I would show how it comes out of the mold. Then its lots of sanding and either resin or high grade automotive clear. And repeat for best results.

Baking it in my paint booth. 15 min bake cycle and good to go. I did that on my final clear this morning and already got it sanded with 1500, 2000, 3, 4 and 5000 grit ready to be polished tomorrow

How good does all of [that] hold up? Is this a show-car only kind of finish or can you street these when they're done?

Its just a grocery getter. So mainly Plan on driving it. Doubt I’ll do many shows after the first one. It will hold up to street use.
