As promised parts fresh baked out of the oven

Oil Pan off my old burnt car.

Hopefully it will pass now

No more rust for these Recaro seats- now I can start on upholstery and putting these back together.

Got a bunch of misc. stuff done as well...Recaro halo frames, seat track adapters, rear brake parts, rear sway bar, rear bumper bar brackets, crossmember, oil pan dipstick.

Im going to weld up the axle tubes then Powder coat the rear end.

Not sure if I want to do wrinkle black to blend into the rest of the undercarriage or gloss black to set it off and match to the oil pan ,crossmember and brakes?

I vote gloss black, but then again, I think your control arms and axle should match...

Wheels for my project car will be here Thursday.

Waist deep in an old rusty Mustang...
Cowl panel looked rust free on the surface but he said it leaked inside...drilled out the spot welds to uncover this...

have fun with that! I just finished up a cowl repair like that on my 67.

If I could have my pick of any wheel/tire set up for this 94, I would pick these. I have wanted a set of these for years. They were discontinued in 2006 and according to the previous owner, he bought the last staggered set sold in the US in 2007. They are mint with only a few hundred miles of show car use.
BBS RK plasmas 18 x 10 rear and 18 x 8.5 front with BFG KDW Tires.

These weigh 48 lbs each so they will be perfect for my suspension setup.

More progress on the 94

Passenger door lock welded up

SPI Epoxy applied and filler work done

Cobra spoiler holes welded up

S-281 spoiler mocked up on the Cobra decklid

More epoxy primer for the passenger door and a couple of coats for the decklid

Finally SPI 2K primer for the driver door

Wow, I never saw this thread before. I literally felt my heart sink when I saw the fire pictures. Man that sucks a lot. I'm glad to see you're back working on things and getting the cars back to the caliber of the ones they're replacing. You do some fine work, for sure. I hope you find as much enjoyment in the finished products as you did with the original cars!

Thanks, I have been after a set of these wheels for years, Saw them on a Mach1 that was for sale in California and was able to make a deal for the wheels/tires...and was able to sell the wheels that came on 94 to offset some of the cost.

Got some more done on the 94...

Got the recaro frames back together and replace the rusty hardware with stainless.

Started to fix the covers since they are hard to find in good shape.

After plastic welding, sanding, and some flexible primer for plastics.

engine bay work

Going to start making panels for the frame rails and inner fenders today. I'll have a lot of hours in this part.

Plastic welders and plastic welding kits.

I have the HD professional plastic welding kit.

You use it the same way you would fill cracks in fiberglass. V out the crack and apply the plastic weld and then sand off the excess. repeat if not completely filled. For added strength, you can sand the back side with 80 grit paper and epoxy.

This repair is most commonly used to repair cracks in motorcycle plastics. I'll post some pics of my repair on that if anyone is interested.

Haven't posted any progress in a few days. I took four days off last week to go to the Rod Run. Lots of nice cars up there.

Plus most of my progress on the 94 has been pretty boring.

Welding and grinding, welding grinding....
