ok i have just installed roller rockers (1.6) on my 95 GT, they are from ford racing. I thought that i would be able to fit the stock vavle covers over them, because i had rebuilt a 302 out of an 85 GT in one of my engines classes and we put the same rockers on that engine as i did on mine. When we went to put the stock valve covers on they fit over those rockers just fine so why cant i get mine to fit. It should be the same shouldnt it? Also if i cant get them to fit does that mean i need to buy thicker gaskets or a bigger vavle cover? The heads are stock and so is everything else on the motor but the rockers.

You really can't fit too many rockers under the stock 94-95 Valve covers. About the only ones you can run are comp pro magnums. I run these with a tall Valve Cover gasket and stock Valve covers and the clearance is extremely close. I would pick up a set of fox body valve covers, throw a coat of paint on them and call it good.

does it matter what year valve covers i use, or is it just as long as they are from a 86-93 stang cause i know this guy who will sell me some after market valve covers from his 91 stang would those work?

I had to use the fox bodied alumium valve covers with extra thick gaskets from PAW... Even then i had to to a little grinding on the insides of them to get them to work...

Now if you have AFR heads you shouldn't need the thicker gasket but with the TFS heads you do...
