looks as though those rockers are designed for stud mount.
The factory rockers are pedistal mount....so the answer is no they wont be a direct bolt on. yes with some machining and the installation of screw in rocker studs you can use these rockers but why?...when you can just go with a set of 1.7 cobra rockers...these will bolt down to your stock heads...the pass valve cover baffle with need to be modified to clear the new rockers.
changing out the stock springs would be a good idea too while in there.

looking around for pedestal rocker arms .....those things are more expensive than the stud and those are really cheap. like under two hundred. can anyone point to some pedestal rockers that are below $230? or what does it take to convert to stud?

Yes those rockers would do just fine. They are original equipment on the 93 cobra
remember cheaper doesn't always mean better.

Crane Cams 44746-16 - Crane Energizer Pedestal Mount Roller Rocker Arms - summitracing.com

They're exactly the same as the Cobra/Ford Racing pedestal-mount 1.7 roller rockers and cost a smidgeon under $200.
