Some of you know, my buddy owns a mustang shop. So i see alot of diverse mustangs and setups.

Well, he's been using the saleen charger on alot of 05's based on the fact that it makes good power, and is easier to install.

It was not a saleen, but had.
Saleen charger,
Full kooks exhausts
Chip
20's with 14 inch brembo brakes.
With the middle size pulley the car made 439 to the wheels, with something like 6psi.

I must say, i was impressed.
Pulled hard and smoooooooooooth.

I've been in alot of cars, especially mustangs, and i must say, the 05 makes pretty much every other mustang, seem like a POS.
Interior was nice, you couldn't even tell it was a vert from the inside.

Traditionally i'm a pushrod guy, the 99-04s never impressed me, but this 05 is the kind of car that makes you really want one.

Joe,

I totally agree. The thing is it does not drive or feel like the Mustangs we are used to. The first thing I noticed was the shifter falls right in hand. Ford just actually engineered this mustang instead of reworking the same BS we have had since 1978.

Felt more like a 5 series BMW than a mustang. Have driven an N/A, Vortech and Saleen blower 05-06. I preferred the Saleen blower myself but to each their own.

I have not driven in an Saleen blown '05+ yet and that’s probably a good thing for my wallet.

The new Saleen blower is turning up in the strangest places. At the Fabulous Fords Forever show last Sunday, I heard that two new Rousch cars were packin’ Series VIs under their hoods. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to check it out. That would have been a sight to see.

Trust me, you don't want to drive one if you can't afford one right now. Kinda like going to a bar that has 100 hot large breasted chicks, you can't help but want to take one home.

Well I am STILL considering the Saleen kit for my 05, even though mines an automatic. But my baby horse is on her way into the world as we speak and I have to wait and see how thats going to impact my finances. But I'm not in any hurry to upgrade right now anyhow.

No need to say "even though mines an auto".
Automatic 05's run close to 5 speeds and are more consistant.
One of the magazines actually ran a 13.6 with the auto and a 13.7 with the stick

I'm purposely staying away from the new Mustangs. I kind-o like the "no car payment" option I currently have. Besides, the last three vehicles I went to just "test drive" ended up in my garage. Needless to say, I'm not a very good "test driver".

Besides, to be honest, I'm still not a big fan of the 05+ Saleen's. I think they lost the agressive look that I'm such a fan of. I love my 96, but the 99+ cars just look mean. 05-06's look more like the prom queen...
