Just wanna see what people have on their cars. Thinking about the saleen bar with the brake light. about $500 or so right? any others i should know about or safer ones? I did flip the 96 so a convertible is a little risky for me . where else can i look for these bars?

There are roll bars, and then there are light bars. I believe the Saleen product you are looking at is a Light Bar- Big difference. Looks good, but adds no protection in the event of a roll-over.

One is for show, one is for actual protection. It says right on the Saleen website that it is not a roll bar.

Mine is strickly a "Light Bar" . Funny thing is the tech guy at our local hick racetrack thinks its a roll bar, lets me run while other verts cannot. Tells them when they ask , He's got a roll bar, you wanna run you have to get one. They have been pretty cool and not told him any different although they get pretty mad at him. LOL

looks nice. does it have the brake light?
big price difference for "roll bar" to light bar?
the roll bar is like a roll cage right and looks ugly?
i've seen two curved pieces of metal over passenger and driver before too. How much is it to have them installed?

It's like everything else, you can spend what you want on either and you get what you pay for meaning you pay cheap you probably get cheap. I had it installed at the dealer before I ever picked the car up. Had seen one on another car and when I ordered the car told the dealer I wanted it installed by them. He said they didn't do the install, that a shop in the area did. He had them come to the dealership and install. I believe it is pretty labor intensive, and I wanted a good job done on it, ie not me working on it. Yes it has the lite in it and only works when the top is down, no bright brake lite inside the car when the top is up. You can get a custom rollcage built that looks pretty good complete with swingout "gates" or "doors" that look good. Mine are the Classic Concepts and run around 500 bucks, don't know how much the install was , probably got raped on it by the dealer as it was all included in the price of the car...LOL Oh, well It's what we wanted and we have been very happy with it.
