roll cage knowledge needed

my brother has an 8 point cage he bought for his 93 vert GT. he says it cost over $400.
it has never been installed & he said i can have it for $100.

we put the main support behind my seats & the sides going forward in to check clearances & it all works.
will this work for my 2002 GT?
is it a good deal?
how would this affect resale? (i do plan on keeping though)
any suggestions on making the sides removable with the pins he has for it?

i'd wouldn't do it unless i planned on keeping the car forever. & then i prob. still wouldn't do it. prob. sell it to a nascar fan somewhere.
