So I’ve been a member here for well over a decade and used to recognize every screen name that frequented the 5.0 Talk and Squeaky Wheel.

I realize now that I don’t spend as much time here as I did back then and my personal interest in cars has pulled me in other directions.
I thought it would be cool for everyone to post their current car/project in one place so myself and others can see what types of cars and range of experience/knowledge is on this page

A picture(s) of your car, a brief rundown of what it is, etc.

1989 mustang gt. Owned since i was 16, 1996. I did a lot of stupid things to it when i was a teen and received some bad advice but im trying to correct now. All mods to motor done well over 15 years ago. Just driving until it blows lmao

It looks purple but its actually reddish color when its in the sun. Im not a mechanic, but i have a little bit of knowledge picked up along the way. I do my own work.
Bottom half is stock 186000 miles. Just bolt on cobra intake and edelbrock heads. Im running an fcam with a lentech AOD. Yes, an fcam:oops:
105mph in the quarter mile around a 13.50 if I remember. Thats was a long time ago. I had a son and had to slow down but kept the car going.

My junk, mostly hand made stuff... The car is a 91. I have completely redone the interior with custom door panels, rear seat delete houses the subwoofer box, its rounded out with some decent seats out of a wrecked new edge. The paint on the car is terrible, lol i did it myself in the backyard a few years ago after someone hit the front of the car.

The engine is my handiwork, I modified a oldschool B&M carb blower manifold to accept fuel injectors.. then made an aluminum adapter plate to mate a[n] Eaton Gen5 M112 Blower from an XKR jaguar to the 302. All of the engine brackets on the passenger side are hand made, the intake manifold for the blower is a hand made piece as well... bypass valve for the blower is under the blower mainfold.
The ignition system uses a VR sensor and a 36-1 wheel to give a signal to the ecu for rpm signal, very similar to the explorer edis system. to do this i used a timing cover off of an e150 van and made a 36-1 wheel fit on the back of the Fox harmonic balancer. This feeds a signal into the ECU witch in turn fires the coil packs that are mounted behind the blower.

The ECU is a very heavily modified DIYPNP ecu from diyautotune.com i took this basic unit to its limits so i supplemented it with a jbperf.com tinyiox expansion card that works over canbus.

needless to say i tuned the car myself. hopefully the custom crank pulley will come in today so i can turn the boost up to 12psi...

1988 LX. Bought it around 1997, when I was 17 years old. Second owner, and the previous owner was a grey-haired 65 year old woman. Drove this through HS, had lots of good memories, even drove it through prom. In college, I stored it, got a Lincoln Mark 8 to daily drive, and it sat until I graduated and got a bit settled. While it sat, I started the black interior conversion around 2001-2002 with a cheap $250 parts car I bought for the pony wheels and black interior

Around 2008, I 5-lug swapped it with the Cobra brakes, did an AOD-to-T5 conversion, and cleaned up a lot of my mistakes from my youth. Drove it a couple years until around 2010 when it went back into storage.

Bought a house in 2015 with a garage (finally) and pulled the car out of storage in 2016 to begin cleaning up. Paint really needs some correction work, but did new wheels, new brakes, cleaned up the interior a bit and this winter will work on suspension mods, before finally pulling the drivetrain out for some much needed power.

Kinda amazing I've owned this car for more than half my life.

The daily driver '14 Taurus Limited. Confirtable, wish it was a SHO but enough bells and whistles to keep me happy. Cruises at 90 and feels like 20

‘93 GT. I’ve had it for about ten months. It’s my third Fox, I’ve also had an ‘87 and an ‘89. Waited until just recently to start working on it because I just finished building the garage. There’s a long list of things I want to do to it. Full Max Motorsports suspension is halfway installed as of yesterday. I’d like to do a 331 N/A build for the engine and probably a T-56. Still researching those items.

When I first bought it:

1990 Coupe. Bought in 2014, longest tenure of any car I've owned. It's running status keeps degrading due to my hair brained and half-ass executed ideas.

Pretty much every vehicle I own is a "project". Not sure if we're only suppose to post mustang pics, but I'd like to see people mustangs as well as their other cars/projects.

This is my main project right now. This is a 1989 Mustang LX with an original 60K. Car is getting a complete chassis upgrade (stitch welded, through floor subframe and matrix bracing, full cage), build 03' Cobra IRS, turbocharged built coyote, full road race suspension, wide body kit with non-staggered 315 front and rear setup, and many other upgrades/parts. This is going to be a multi-year build.

Here's how she used to look as an old-school GT40 time capsule.

And how she sits right now.

And since I don't just work on Mustangs, here are some of my other "projects" around the house.

1989 BMW E30 Lemons Race Car. Mainly stock with minor suspension upgrades to keep in true Lemons spirit:
1989 BMW.jpg

2011 Ford F-250 6.7. Nothing crazy, just tuned, deleted, full 5" exhaust, 5" intake, 65mm Streetmax VGT turbo, air bags, some suspension upgrades, intercooling and piping upgrade, ect. Around 530 RWHP and 1170 RWTQ.

My beater/sleeper 1995 850 5-speed swapped turbo wagon. Looks like a pile, mainly the car I use to lug my dogs around, original 87K. Big turbo, "custom" exhaust, injectors, other supporting mods. Should be around 330 FWHP. Surprises many people and can't get traction worth :poo:. This picture is from when I towed it home since it needed a complete motor rebuild.
850 volvo.jpg

My latest overly-expensive project, a 2015 S60 R-design. Nothing crazy, just an intake and exhaust right now. I don't have a current picture, this is from the dealer when we picked up. Factory underrated at 330 AWHP.
volvo s60.jpg

And the last one, my 95' Honda Magna. Fully rebuilt cards, re-jetted, exhaust, and filter. It's a fun, pretty quick old cruiser style bike.

This is my other project. It's a 88 e150 with a 5.0. I hope to get it supercharded one day...

I’ve got a few other toys as well. I built both of these bikes from bare frames.

And my 64 impala SS 409. I haven’t done much to this since owning it. It only needs a few small items that I’ll get to after the mustang is much closer to complete.

1988 GT. It’s my 4th fox. Couldn’t hold onto the other 3 for various reasons. Definitely keeping this one. Bought it about 2-3 years ago from an older man. All stock when purchased, down to the air silencer in the fender. 110k original miles. 0 rust. Since then, new z trans, 3.73s, subframe connectors, new clutch assy, aluminum driveshaft, replaced most engine seals, all new engine sensors, tires and wheels, all new brakes, head lamps, tail lamps, full tune up, other misc. GT40 swap in the near future, along with upgraded steering rack and all new suspension. It’s getting there! I recently had to find the drive to start wrenching on I again, I think I got the drive back. Here’s some before and afters.

I’ve got a 91 hatch car i bought as a roller.
Intend to build a 93 cobra clone out of it and one of these days start working on putting a coyote engine and control pack in it. Just build a cool driver. It’s a long ways off at this point.
8F452ECA-6949-48BC-86AE-42ED5D77AEF7.png

It’s got an 8pt roll bar, semi built 8.8, full interior, etc. needs a stock hood and a new stock bumper cover. Admittedly I went a little too drag car with it, some of which I’ll reel back in over time. I kept the heater core and all that fun stuff so I can reinstall it as well.

IMG_20180524_140523_hdr.jpg

got it from a flipper that got it from a chic that just drove it till the trans just wouldn't shift anymore, around 100k, no rust complete with air silencer (I still have it on a shelf), it's ruff to say the least but after swapping in an engine that didn't work with the famous e cam, sounded like a sewing maching, wouldn't idle, bucked, hissed and whistled dixie I finally found a low mile stock 5.0 and stuck that in with long tubes, explorer intake, new trans, clutch, pro50 shifter, aluminum drive shaft and 355s in a rebuild traction lock, new rear suspension, new shocks struts and brakes. Now I beat the tar out of it every chance I get, got some p's and ford roller rockers to put on soon as I get this
IMG_20180829_140107_hdr.jpg

project done because I bought a 53 chebby pickup and well, I just want room for more stuff. I got a fox to flip and a cobra intake that has a convertible attached to it and the 'famous' dump truck thats in the above photo. Some place in the other garage is a 82 FXRS with 6k miles that needs a fresh set of tires and a battery.
Man I gots a lotta crap!

Looks like I'll be the first SN-95 for now.
1995 Cobra. Bought when I was stationed in Delaware from the original owner's son-in-law with 97,000 miles. Now has a little over 120k. All stock drivetrain except for 3.73 gears. Long tube headers and h-pipe/flowmasters. I haven't done much with this car over the years. Plan for it these days is to do a Mustang5L5 style attention-to-detail build on it. I took this car with me to Germany where it did more sitting than driving. Been working on it slowly to get the cobwebs worked out. It was very well taken care of by its previous owners.

Other cars include my daily driver 1990 Mercury Grand Marquis. I am modding this car very lightly with the aim of giving her a bit more power and reliability.

Finally, my project 1966 Mustang coupe. My skills and knowledge are currently non-existent. Hopefully I can learn a thing or two on this car without wrecking it. I definitely don't want to pay someone else to restore it for me.

I currently have 2 1988 Mustang GT hatchbacks. My first and under construction again I bought in 2003, and has gone through many transformations some good and some not so good over my teenage years. I am currently installing a digital dash that I am building from scratch that will be tied to a 4r70w transmission with paddle shifters. The goal for the car is 450wrhp and hit the road course from time to time while being able to DD to the office.

My other mustang I got from my father that we purchased together in 2002. It was all stock except headers and mufflers. We put in a set of 3.55 and that's it. Car sat for 5 years do to a thought of bearing issue due to low oil pressure. I got it from my dad last year and have been cleaning it back up. The issue was due to a bad oil pressure sender. I cleaned it back up back that this now. The goal for this one is stock cruiser.

1993 Mustang GT. Powertrain is stock, has some suspension work and 3.55 gears. 51k original miles. I've had it a year and a half, plan on adding subframe connectors, new engine and trans (to keep the originals stock), 17" pony wheels, and maybe a stereo upgrade.
